This is the month where beginning of the slight cold can be experienced. 2nd October is marked as Gandhi Jayanti. Gandhi Ji was a freedom fighter and he has made contribution for the freedom of this country.
This day is also known as the international day of non-violence because Gandhi Ji was against fights and wars. World habitat day is celebrated on the 1st Monday of this month where lessons are spread to save the habitat of the world. Indian air force day is celebrated on 8th October and roles and duties of Indian air force are announced so that people get to know about them. World student day is celebrated on 15th October and on this day importance of education is taught to the children so that they are able to learn and grow. World food day is celebrated on 16th October and many food carnivals are organized on this day where food from different continents is organized so that people can taste different variety of food. Navratri sthapana is celebrated on 17th October and this is the festival of 9 days where 9 Goddess are worshipped and people dance for 9 days. 25th October is celebrated as Dussehra where Ravan is burnt as sign of killing the evil. 26th October is the day of Durga Visarjan and this is the end of the navratri and Navratri means festival of 9 nights. 28th October is known as national Ayurveda day and importance of Ayurveda is revived on this day.
